Job Summary
Educates patients and families about financial assistance programs, health insurance enrollment, and various payment options; conducts client interviews to determine eligibility for Medicaid, Medicare, and other state-based programs; screens and assists with enrollment in financial assistance programs; coordinates communication with medical staff to ensure appropriate reimbursement and maintain patient confidentiality; collaborates with the healthcare team to support safe patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment; bilingual Spanish fluency is preferred to serve diverse families.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in social services or public assistance programs, including personal contact with clients
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivates, multitasks, and prioritizes effectively in a fast-paced environment
