Job Summary
Oversee daily Financial Counseling operations, including eligibility screening, financial assistance determinations, and insurance verification. Direct staff training and development through performance audits, coaching supervisors, and implementing improvement plans. Coordinate work assignments to ensure regulatory compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and HIPAA standards while monitoring outcomes for operational accuracy. Lead initiatives for Medicaid conversion, charity care processing, and timely insurance verification to strengthen revenue cycle performance. Communicate policies clearly to staff and external partners, ensuring respectful, patient-centered service across all locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 5-7 years of relevant healthcare or revenue cycle experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain functional relationships with personnel at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- ability to use data reporting tools
- Managerial or leadership experience in Financial Counseling or another relevant Revenue Cycle department
- Knowledge of Medicaid, ACA Marketplace, and financial assistance programs
- Experience using Epic and related patient accounting systems
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
