Job Summary
Coordinate dental office finances: submit all insurance claims for new and existing patients, verify benefits prior to patient exams, post charges/payments/adjustments with justifications in the Practice Management System, handle documentation submissions to insurers/clearinghouse, credential/re-credential insurances, lead patients through treatment with scheduling and payments, reconcile bulk payments, monitor AR and financial reports, perform day/month end reconciliations, prepare financial agreements and contracts, explain benefits to patients, ensure accurate active-status tracking, renegotiate financial terms to maximize collections, and deliver superb customer service in a dental practice.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years recent experience in dental environment
- Dental/Medical insurance verification, claims and credentialing experience required
- Must be well versed in insurance terminology
- Valid driver’s license
