Job Summary
Lead the finance team and oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management. Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports while ensuring adherence to IFRS and statutory obligations. Manage external audits, liaise with regulatory bodies, and supervise monthly and year-end closing processes. Drive the budgeting and financial planning cycle, analyze performance to guide strategic decisions, and develop models to support growth initiatives. Optimize working capital, maintain banking relationships, and strengthen internal control systems to mitigate financial risks. Manage cash flow planning and forecasting to ensure liquidity and operational continuity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- ACA, ACCA, or CPA certification
- 8–12 years of progressive finance experience
- at least 4 years in a senior management role
- Strong background in financial planning, analysis, and reporting within the oil and gas or related sector
- Demonstrated experience managing audits, compliance, and ERP systems (e.g., Zoho, SAP, Oracle)
- Deep understanding of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and financial management tools
