Job Summary
Financial Controller role providing strategic financial leadership for EPCM accounting, reporting, and compliance. Lead monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, GAAP compliance, and financial insights for executive decision-making. Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, treasury, month-end and year-end close, internal controls, budgeting/forecasting, cash flow and working capital management, external audits and tax/compliance, ERP optimization and digital finance transformation. Senior leadership responsible for mentoring accounting/finance staff and collaborating with Finance, Executive, and Project Management to sustain strong fiscal discipline. Based in Burlington, ON.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- CPA or equivalent professional designation
- 15+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role within EPCM, industrial, or corporate settings
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
