Job Summary
Financial Controller who owns the group’s numbers end-to-end, including full P&L, month-end close, working capital management, and building scalable financial infrastructure to support an eventual exit; reports to Chief of Staff with potential to grow into senior finance leadership; requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA and a track record of senior finance leadership, cash flow forecasting, and commercial storytelling from numbers. Responsibilities emphasize end-to-end finance ownership, process improvement, and working with advisors and cross-functional teams in a fast-growth events/hospitality context.
Required Qualifications
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager stepping up, or similar, owning a finance function end to end
- Strong technical accounting and month-end close expertise, with a track record of running a clean, timely close
- Hands-on with cash flow forecasting, working capital and credit control
- Comfortable being the most senior finance person in the room day-to-day, holding advisors and the team to account
- Genuinely commercial: you can turn numbers into a story and a recommendation, not just a report
- Confident with modern finance tooling and keen to use automation and AI to build a systems-first function
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environment where the function is still being built
