Job Summary
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the group in accordance with MFRS/IFRS, overseeing individual and group reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the group while monitoring financial performance by analyzing actual results against budgets. Implement and maintain robust internal control systems, liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, and manage group cash flow and funding requirements. Lead and develop the finance team at HQ, standardizing accounting practices across all subsidiaries. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role requires a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants with at least 8 years of progressive experience in mining or manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA
- Minimum 810 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in Managerial role, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or mining industries
- Proven experience in group consolidation involving multiple subsidiaries
- Strong understanding of MFRS/IFRS, group accounting principles, and Malaysian tax laws
- Analytical, hands-on, and detail-oriented with strong leadership capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, SQL, SAP, or Oracle)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
