Job Summary
Financial Controller role within Sandvik Zambia finance organization overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, tax compliance, and governance. Responsible for IFRS-based reporting, balance sheet integrity, audit coordination, contract and revenue governance (IFRS 15), treasury/cash management, and continuous process improvements across end-to-end finance processes (R2R, P2P, O2C). Leads ICFR certifications, supports statutory requirements, and partners with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Operations) to ensure strong financial controls, policy compliance, and ethical conduct. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and professional qualification (CA Zambia, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent); IFRS expertise and ERP Workiva experience are desirable. Promotes a culture of robust financial controls and reliable management information; leads a finance team and collaborates with Group Finance, Tax, Treasury, and internal control functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Professional qualification (CA Zambia, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Strong experience in financial reporting, internal controls, audit, tax, and compliance environments
- Solid working knowledge of IFRS, including revenue recognition and tax accounting
- Experience with ERP systems and financial control tools (e.g. Workiva added advantage)
