Job Summary
Own the accounting function end to end across Partly's entities, leading revenue recognition, month-end and year-end close, and consolidated reporting. Ensure tax and statutory compliance across NZ, UK, and additional geographies; manage payroll, vendor payments, billing, and treasury; establish a treasury policy; evaluate and implement finance infrastructure and tools; lead and develop the finance team; collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to keep financial operations tight. Requires CA or equivalent, multi-entity/multi-jurisdiction experience, and a track record in scale-up or startup environments; beneficial to have ERP implementation and SaaS/marketplace familiarity. Relocation costs are supported; offices in Christchurch, Auckland (NZ), London (UK), and US offices (San Francisco, Austin) with in-person work options.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent
- Multi-entity and multi-jurisdiction experience across NZ, UK, and beyond
- Strong technical accounting knowledge: revenue recognition, payroll, AP/AR
- Experience managing tax and statutory compliance across multiple geographies
- Experience leading a finance team and scaling finance functions
- ERP implementation experience (bonus)
- SaaS or marketplace business model familiarity (bonus)
- Ability to work in a fast-moving scale-up environment
