Job Summary
Senior financial control leader for a part-time role based in Allambie Heights, NSW. Owns financial control and management accounting, leads the month-end close, manages the bookkeeper and coordinates with external accounting, and drives a system change to Xero. Focus on building scalable processes, ensuring clean data, and delivering timely, accurate financial reporting across two brands. Expect to automate routine tasks, develop budgeting/forecasting capabilities, and partner with founders to shape the finance function in an e-commerce/multi-brand environment. AI-enabled improvement mindset and comfort with a lean, hands-on finance organization are valued.
Required Qualifications
- CA or CPA qualified
- Solid experience in a financial control role
- Track record of running a month-end close independently
- Xero experience required
- Experience with e-commerce, retail, or multi-brand businesses preferred
- Experience managing a bookkeeper and coordination with external accounting firm
- Willingness to learn and work with AI tools to improve processes
