Job Summary
Own the day-to-day running of financial operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, and management and statutory reporting as the business scales. Prepare accurate numbers covering production activities, accounts payable, payroll, capital, share options, and taxes. Support the selection, implementation, and running of core finance systems like ERP while helping build lightweight, fit-for-purpose processes. Establish audit-ready controls from the ground up and lead external audits. Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure production data flows cleanly into accounting. Provide the reliable data foundation that FP&A and commercial teams depend on. Take broader ownership over time as the finance function grows.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Ideally trained at a Big Four
- Strong technical accounting foundations
- High bar for accuracy and control
- Fluent in today's relevant accounting standards (IFRS / UK GAAP)
- Comfortable being hands-on in a small, flat team
- Ability to own work end to end with limited support and infrastructure
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to a manufacturing operation or physical supply chain
- Scale-up experience
- Working awareness of US GAAP
- Experience supporting an ERP implementation, or standing up finance processes from scratch
- Semiconductor, hardware, automotive, or advanced-manufacturing background
- Tesla, SpaceX, chip manufacturers, or similar background
