Job Summary

Manage and support finance functions for Redpath Mexicana, including project accounting, month-end close, statutory reporting, and budgeting. Coordinate with external advisors and regional leadership to ensure compliance with Mexican tax laws, SAT filings, and IFRS standards. Prepare management statements, analyze financial results, and implement internal controls across billing, payroll, and asset management. Mentor the local finance team while driving system improvements and automation initiatives. Liaise with operations to deliver accurate forecasts and support the integration of new financial processes for the growing entity.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline
  • Professional accounting designation or Mexico-equivalent certification
  • Minimum seven years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • Experience supporting operations in Mexico
  • Experience with financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, audit support and statutory compliance
  • Experience in a project-based, mining, construction, industrial or remote-site environment
  • Experience with Mexican accounting, tax, payroll-related financial requirements, electronic invoicing and statutory reporting practices
  • Experience working in an ERP environment, preferably Oracle Fusion, with strong Excel-based analysis and reporting capability
  • Strong working knowledge of Mexican accounting, tax, statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to Redpath Mexicana operations
  • Understanding of SAT requirements, electronic invoicing/CFDI, digital accounting records, VAT/IVA, income tax/ISR, withholding obligations and payroll-related financial requirements
  • Understanding of payroll accounting, IMSS, INFONAVIT, statutory benefits and employee profit-sharing accruals in Mexico, where applicable
  • Excellent in a job cost and project accounting environment
  • Clear understanding of IFRS reporting standards and ability to reconcile local requirements with Redpath group reporting expectations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, business partnering and financial leadership skills
  • Well-developed organizational, time management and project coordination skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet reporting, tax, audit and operational deadlines
  • High level of discretion, integrity and sound judgment when handling confidential financial and business information
  • Effective bilingual communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Ability to build effective relationships with operations leaders, corporate finance, external advisors, auditors, banks and regulatory contacts
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
  • Regular travel to project sites and offices within Mexico
  • Occasional international travel
