Job Summary
Senior Financial Controller for a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction group in a fast-moving financial services/trading environment. Own the monthly close and timely publication of clean management accounts to FP&A; ensure integrity and quality of books (accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany) and oversee statutory accounts across sister entities. Manage complex financial instruments (options, FX hedges, DeFi positions) under IFRS/US GAAP; lead a small accounting team and drive automation/AI adoption across Finance to enable investor-diligence-ready positioning by year-end. Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury/Crypto Operations, and external service providers to maintain smooth operation and data quality. Remote-first, globally distributed organization seeking a senior operator who can both hands-on close and mentor the team.
Required Qualifications
- Recognised senior accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or international equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in financial services/trading/hedge funds or similar fast-moving in-house Finance environment
- Hands-on group controllership at multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction scale
- Experience closing statutory accounts across multiple sister entities and managing intercompany
- Comfortable accounting for complex financial instruments including options, FX hedges, derivatives, structured positions; crypto-specific accounting useful but not required
- Leader who is also operator; can close books hands-on and lead a team
- Direct, accountable communicator with ability to surface problems and propose fixes
- Strong bias for structure, automation and AI adoption in Finance operations
- Experience preparing Finance function for external investor diligence and leading remote teams
- Familiarity with broader Finance stack including accounting systems, AP automation, sub-ledger integrations
