Job Summary
The Offshore Financial Controller will lead accounting operations for a multi-market luxury short-term rental platform, overseeing month-end and year-end close, cash flow forecasting, revenue and expense reconciliations, payroll controls, and financial policy development. Responsible for ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance, internal controls, and scalable financial processes across a multi-entity hospitality portfolio, while partnering with executive leadership on financial strategy and coordinating annual tax with external advisors. Must have senior accounting leadership experience, strong Excel and Sage Intacct skills, and the ability to manage remote operations within a high-volume hospitality context.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred)
- 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- 3+ years in a senior accounting leadership or controller-level role
- Experience supporting U.S.-based companies required
- Experience in hospitality, short-term rental, real estate, or multi-entity environments strongly preferred
- Strong command of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles
- Advanced expertise in Sage Intacct or similar accounting systems
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including financial modeling and variance analysis
- Experience leading full month-end and year-end close processes
- Experience managing cash flow forecasting and working capital planning
- Experience overseeing multi-state sales tax compliance
- Experience coordinating annual tax preparation with external advisors
- Familiarity with property management systems (e.g., Guesty or similar) a plus
- Demonstrated ability to design and improve scalable finance processes
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to maintain consistent overlap with U.S. business hours
- Demonstrated leadership, ownership, and strategic financial thinking
- High level of discretion, accountability, and executive-level partnership capability
