Job Summary
Financial Controller (FX) Associate in London handling the consolidated Firm’s financial and regulatory reporting, FX exposure management, daily hedge instruction, P&L substantiation, and month-end reconciliation. Supports Treasury and Controller groups, drives governance analytics, and contributes to process improvements across finance controls and accounting systems. Requires 5+ years in Finance/Controller, strong communication, leadership, planning under tight timelines, and a professional qualification (e.g., accounting or CFA). The role is hybrid in London and interacts with Product Controllers, IT, Tax, Legal Entities, and Treasury teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years industry experience with focus on Finance/Controller background
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrable leadership qualities with a strong work ethic and team player mentality
- Ability to plan and execute against tight timeframes
- Strong organizational skill and strategic thinking
- Analytical mind-set and good problem solving skills with a willingness to drill through to the root cause of issues
- Strong controls background with an ability to design, implement, enhance and monitor the effectiveness of existing or new controls
- Understanding of FX risk
- Qualified with relevant Professional Qualification (i.e. Accounting or CFA)
