Job Summary
Financial Controller responsible for overseeing FFC's financial operations, reporting, tax strategy, and corporate finance initiatives. This hybrid role combines hands-on financial management with strategic planning, including funding structures, government incentives, and investor coordination. Manages up to $50M of annual activity with potential growth. Responsibilities include leading monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting, coordinating tax compliance, supporting government funding applications and tax-credit programs (e.g., UNITY-2), overseeing procurement and cash management, establishing robust financial controls, and collaborating with external advisors and senior stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business and a CPA with 5+ years in related roles; Big 4 experience preferred. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, plus proficiency with QuickBooks. Nice-to-have: experience with project-based or engineering-driven organizations, government funding programs, and MBA or equivalent. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- CPA designation with 5+ years in finance, accounting, or corporate finance roles
- Big 4 experience preferred
- Experience managing financial operations, reporting, and tax coordination
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, funding structures, and cash management
- Experience working with external advisors (accounting, tax, legal)
- Excellent communication skills
