Job Summary
Lead financial activities for Quebec offices by producing, analyzing, and presenting actionable financial results that drive project profitability and business decisions. Act as a trusted partner to operational teams, monitoring work in progress and contributing to month-end close, variance analysis, and process optimization. Strengthen financial controls and identify opportunities for standardization and automation while collaborating with Project Controllers and managers across Canada. This role supports the modernization of the national Finance function within a large-scale Canadian engineering and consulting firm, offering a 37.5-hour week with flexible scheduling and hybrid work options.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation
- Significant experience as a Financial Controller or in a comparable financial leadership role
- Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience working with an ERP system
- Excellent command of both French and English
- Proficiency in English
- Experience in a professional services environment, ideally within consulting engineering, architecture, or another project-based organization where work in progress (WIP) and project profitability are key components of financial management
