Job Summary
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports while ensuring GAAP/IFRS compliance and managing intercompany transactions. Organize mandatory internal and external audits, prepare year-end statutory accounts for German entities, and implement internal control policies. Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis to monitor financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities. Supervise accounting staff, train junior accountants, and collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies. Fluent in German and English; travel to Munich quarterly.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, audits, and compliance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, internal controls, and risk management
- Proficiency in financial systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent ERP)
- Advanced skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing teams
- Ability to collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Fluent in German
- Fluent in English
- Travel to Munich every quarter
