Job Summary
Manage ANZ accounting, financial reporting, and audit matters under local GAAP and US GAAP while maintaining strong internal controls across entities. Provide technical accounting guidance, lead the financial close process, and coordinate with APAC and local Finance leadership to ensure accurate internal and external reporting. Own the ANZ financial statement close, review quarterly deliverables including P&L and balance sheet variance analysis, and manage internal and external audits to strengthen controls. Review business processes to identify improvements and efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years' of experience in Controllership and/or Accounting/Finance leadership roles
- Experience managing large and diversified teams across different geographies
- Experience in the financial services and/or insurance industry across Australia and New Zealand
- IFRS 17 knowledge
- Bachelor of Commerce or Business, majoring in Accounting
- CPA or CA qualification
- Strong local GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS knowledge
- Strong APRA and RBNZ reporting skills
- Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams in a dynamic business environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Exceptional numerical, analytical and problem-solving capability
- Strong attention to detail
