Job Summary
Financial Compliance Manager in Gdansk leads risk assessments across processes and countries with a focus on fraud and financial reporting, drives controls and internal audits, and advances automation of controls within a global shared services environment. The role partners with stakeholders to ensure adherence to financial regulations, supports fraud prevention, monitors corrective actions, and promotes financial integrity. Key responsibilities include monitoring compliance workflows, conducting defined reviews and internal audits, driving continuous monitoring of minimum compliance requirements, and leveraging digital solutions for transaction scanning. The position demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to influence across a matrix organization. The role offers a relocation package, a Nordic-style flexible working environment, and a 50% office presence in Gdansk with an additional day monthly, along with opportunities for professional development and education support.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced compliance expertise from a similar position in a complex international organisation or from big-4 consulting / auditing / internal audit (minimum 6 years)
- University degree of relevance
- Professional certificates in accounting or auditing are a welcome enrichment of your profile
- Strong knowledge within accounting, auditing, internal controls & financial compliance
- The ability and appetite for influencing role in a large business where you can develop internal control systems whilst navigating organization matrix and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- Understanding of Arla control environment and toolkit is an advantage
- Please note that this role requires you to be in the office 50% of the time + one additional day (monthly)
