Job Summary
Manage Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and NYS Marketplace Exchange eligibility by screening client financial status, obtaining prior authorizations, and completing insurance verification. Coordinate benefit referrals, resolve problems, and monitor caseloads while documenting reports. Handle claim submissions for outpatient and inpatient programs, review error reports, and oversee the Millin Issue Tracker to correct billing discrepancies. Create client statements, follow up on payment plans, and collect copays and co-insurance. Navigate the Monroe County ARES system and communicate with additional agencies to coordinate outpatient services. Work collaboratively with the finance and billing teams to ensure accurate client records and consistent agency policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field or Business Administration
- 1-2 years relevant in Behavioral Health services financial case management experience
- serving as a Medicaid Eligibility Examiner
- Certified Application Counselor credentialing
- Bilingual in Spanish
