Financial Assurance & Levy Officer

Job Summary
You will support the delivery of EPA Victoria’s waste levy and financial assurance programs, focusing on the waste levy, reviewing licence holder submissions, performing quality assurance checks, and assisting with the annual waste levy audit. The role requires strong data/analytical capability (Excel, cross-referencing), ability to interpret legislation in a regulatory context, and effective stakeholder engagement across internal and external environments. Experience in regulatory, compliance, or government settings is preferred; familiarity with waste, landfill, pollution, or environmental regulation is desirable. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Docklands, Victoria, with three days in the office and ongoing regulatory/compliance responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong data and numerical capability (Excel, analysis, cross-referencing)
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation in a regulatory or risk-based environment
- Experience in regulatory, compliance or government roles (corporate backgrounds also considered)
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume, process-driven work
- Exposure to waste, landfill, pollution, or environmental regulation (desirable)
