Job Summary
Open deposit accounts and ancillary services, process paying and receiving transactions, and balance cash while maintaining proper documentation and audit trails. Handle initial customer needs and refer clients to other associates to expand relationships and cross-sell products. Perform account maintenance, adhere to internal controls and regulatory requirements, and meet service standards in person and on the phone. This universal role offers an opportunity to expand banking knowledge or launch a successful career in the financial industry. Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of retail/sales or banking experience
- Basic knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation and systems
- Some knowledge of retail products and services
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
- Effective selling, cross-selling and referral skills
- Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and written communication
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Lifting in an office setting up to 30 lbs
