Job Summary
AVP Financial and Regulatory Reporting Specialist will lead and support the production, analytical review, and governance of Average Assets reporting and analytics, contribute to RWA production and reporting, and support balance sheet management and capital planning. Key duties include delivering reporting packages, performing variance analysis and management-ready commentary, ensuring data integrity with validations and reconciliations, coordinating with Technology/Data/Finance/Risk partners, maintaining and evolving operating procedures, and driving process efficiency through standardization and automation. Essential skills and tools include advanced Excel/PowerPoint, knowledge of balance sheet and capital concepts, ability to investigate data issues and produce auditable outputs, and proficiency with automation tools (PowerQuery, Python, SAP, Tableau) and regulatory tools (Axiom, SAP). A Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting is required; CPA, MBA, or advanced degree is beneficial. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-regional collaboration skills are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, balance sheet/capital analytics, finance production, or closely related Finance/Risk disciplines within a Global Investment Bank or similarly complex financial institution
