Job Summary
Financial Analyst within Guardian's Group FP&A supporting consolidated expense planning, reporting, and strategic analytics across the Group Benefits organization. Partners with Expense Management, Product, Pricing, and senior leadership to deliver actionable insights, enhance expense transparency, and support business decisions. Responsibilities include owning consolidated expense exhibits for annual planning and executive reviews, developing executive-ready materials highlighting drivers and risks, performing strategic expense analytics, providing detailed analytics across product/department/account dimensions, translating data into actionable insights, and supporting transformation initiatives and product strategy through profitability and cost analysis. Proficiency with Excel/PowerPoint and experience with large, matrixed organizations are required; familiarity with Oracle Planning/Hyperion/SmartView is a plus. The role involves UAT testing for financial systems, cross-functional analyses, and responsive support for cost management and budgeting needs. Hybrid work arrangement with offices in NYC (Hudson Yards), Holmdel NJ, Boston MA, and Bethlehem PA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 4+ years of FP&A, financial analysis, or expense management experience
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, executive-level insights
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
