Job Summary
Prepare and analyze financial, statistical, and analytical reports to assess project cost-effectiveness, risk, and funding options. Provide senior-level accounting expertise for accurate reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and organizational decision-making. Maintain financial models, dashboards, and year-end working papers for external auditors while reviewing contracts for compliance. Support departments with operating and capital forecasts, respond to ad hoc data requests, and act as a strategic resource for finance and leadership teams. Optimize ERP systems, document business workflows, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes. This term position runs until December 31, 2028.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of post qualification experience in accounting or finance
- CPA designation preferred
- municipal experience preferred
- Experience with financial reporting and ERP systems (Dynamics Great Plains an asset)
