Job Summary
The role supports management with financial oversight for a portfolio of remote operating sites under varying commercial agreements, including month-end close, forecasting and budgeting, P&L analysis, balance sheet review, and ad hoc analysis to control expenses and improve performance. Responsibilities involve analyzing site financials, training site managers in sound financial processes, monitoring working capital and collections, developing site budgets and targets, managing monthly management reporting, ensuring proper accounting controls, and supporting commercial proposals, contract renewals, and capital expenditure decisions. The candidate will interact with operational sites and internal customers to deliver financial and commercial risk insights, drive site start-ups for billing and budgeting, and contribute to portfolio-wide profit improvement initiatives, working with Purchasing, Real Estate, Contract Administration and Operating teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance or accounting OR equivalent four years work experience
- Logistics industry experience, preferred
- Public accounting experience, preferred
- Ability to deal with complex commercial issues
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Basic accounting knowledge; P&L and balance sheet
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels; team player
