Job Summary
Senior Financial Analyst responsible for maintaining financial and statistical records for the Health Plan to enable executives and the board to measure performance against goals. Responsibilities include validating monthly source data for membership and payments, reviewing membership and payment amounts to resolve discrepancies, reconciling claims expense to lag schedules, calculating IBNR per procedure, reconciling accrual-based expenses to cash distributions, ensuring timely payments, coordinating with Treasury on cash needs, analyzing discrepancies among revenue/membership/eligibility, reconciling revenue to GL/reporting, preparing schedules for monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, responding to inquiries, and assisting in annual budgeting. Requires strong accounting/analytical experience, and relevant education; CPA/license substitutions permitted.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Or Business Administration Required
- 5 Years Accounting Or Analytical Work Experience Required
- Master’s degree may substitute for two years of the required experience
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license issued by the Texas State of Public Accountancy, or equivalent state Board for out of state residents, may substitute for two years of the required experience.
