Job Summary

Conduct financial analysis including standard modeling, projections, reports, and presentations using financial and encounter reporting tools. Support annual operating and capital budget planning by collaborating with department managers to prepare department-level budgets. Prepare monthly reports on financial performance and capital budget tracking while communicating trends and issues. Assist with treasury functions such as cash management, investment management, and debt compliance. Perform financial risk and care/cost variation analysis including advanced statistical techniques. Identify areas for improvement in data accuracy and model efficiency. Report directly to the Manager Financial Planning & Analysis. Salary range $52,300.00 - $89,500.00. Hybrid work schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Entry level to 2 years of experience
  • basic financial skills
  • working understanding of the relationship between income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and analytic skills to formulate recommendations and resolve problems
  • Able to follow standard instructions, practices, and procedures in performing financial analysis and data modeling
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to effectively prioritize concurrent responsibilities and meet timelines
  • Proficient with Excel functionality such as lookups, pivot tables, and charts
  • Proficient in the use of communication and organization tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to grasp and apply new concepts quickly
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, deadline oriented, and complex health care environment

Desired Qualifications

  • preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field
  • Experience with financial planning tools such as Axiom or Adaptive Planning
  • Experience with other financial based software programs such as Tableau and Decision Tools (or other statistics, optimization, and Monte Carlo simulation tool)
