Job Summary
The Financial Analyst role supports accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate recording of transactions, assisting with month-end close, and maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Responsibilities include posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, supporting accounts payable/receivable, assisting with audits, budgeting and forecasting, and identifying process improvements. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, collaborative across departments, and proficient in Excel and financial systems. Knowledge of budgeting/forecasting, CPA consideration is a plus, and experience in the construction industry is a nice-to-have. Location-based on-site in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada with full-time employment and a salary range of $60,000–$70,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years accounting experience (public or private) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines with high accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems
