Job Summary

Conduct moderate to complex financial analysis and modeling projects using various financial systems, including SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools like Power BI and Spotfire. Extract, manipulate, and analyze information from financial tools to develop recurring reports and identify trends that inform executive leadership decisions. Serve as the primary financial point of contact for operational leaders within designated service lines, acting as a subject matter expert to support strategic initiatives and cost-saving opportunities. Lead and plan analysis projects with a high degree of autonomy, delegating tasks to Associate Financial Analysts while providing mentorship, training, and development guidance. Perform complex ad hoc projects with minimal supervision and support cross-functional initiatives to streamline financial reporting processes. Work 8AM-5PM with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
  • Five (5) + years of financial analysis experience
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software, Excel, Microsoft Office, and data visualization tools
  • In-depth knowledge of financial statements and key drivers
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and presentation tools
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to provide mentorship to Associate Financial Analysts

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's or CPA preferred
  • preferably with a focus on healthcare
  • Designation as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other intensive financial credential
  • Master's in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Health Administration
  • Experience in a senior audit, financial consulting, or related role with a financial services firm
  • Prior exposure to healthcare finance or operations
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with databases using SQL or other advanced system languages
  • Adept at creating and managing complex queries
  • Prior experience utilizing decision support applications
