Job Summary
The Financial Analyst role at a mining operation provides financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and decision support to site leadership. Responsibilities include month-end close, cash flow forecasting, operating-cost and production-matters reporting, variance analyses, and ensuring audit-ready financial records. The position supports planning and strategic initiatives through operational partnership and financial guidance, translating data into actionable insights for management. Key duties also cover budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure planning, and maintaining internal controls and documentation to support quarterly and annual reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, and reporting
- Experience in mining, industrial, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, including QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
