Job Summary
Maintain and analyze material cost records, standard costs, and related costing data to support accurate financial reporting. Perform monthly actual versus plan variance analysis for manufacturing expenses, production performance, inventory activity, and cost center results. Develop financial analytics, dashboards, and reports that summarize cost trends, inventory movements, expense performance, and forecasted spending. Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate cost variances, inventory discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities. Prepare periodic cost reconciliation reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing cost centers. Analyze inventory valuation, obsolescence, and physical inventory activity to support financial controls. Requires a Bachelor's degree, three years of manufacturing finance experience, SAP proficiency, and advanced Excel skills.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of related financial analysis, cost accounting, inventory analysis, or manufacturing finance experience
- Experience analyzing large data sets and developing financial reports, trend analysis, reconciliations, and actionable business insights
- Previous experience with ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, supply chain, or related field
- Strong understanding of product costing, standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost drivers
- Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX concepts
- SAP experience
- Experience with analytics or reporting tools
