Job Summary
High-ownership Accountant role within Morningstar India's Asia Controllership, focused on Month-End Close, US GAAP-aligned accounting, and close-to-audit-ready financial governance. Drive accounting operations across GL, AP, AR, billing, revenue, intercompany, and reconciliations; enhance controls, documentation, and process improvements; participate in banking operations, fixed assets, and India-specific compliance (GST/TDS). Lead and support audit and statutory reporting, while contributing to automation and AI-enabled transformation initiatives. Hybrid work in Mumbai or Delhi with collaboration across shared services, FP&A, auditors, tax advisers, and internal stakeholders. Strong Excel skills, knowledge of ERP/reconciliation systems (Oracle, Coupa, Blackline), and 5 years of accounting/finance experience are expected.
Required Qualifications
- B Com/ M COM with 5 years’ experience in accounting and finance
- Inter-CA OR ICWA with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience
- MBA Finance with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience
