Job Summary

Support budget tracking, spend monitoring, forecasting, and budget worksheet updates while assisting with weekly and monthly budget reviews. Gather, organize, and validate financial data tied to cybersecurity initiatives, then prepare summaries, analysis, reports, and presentation materials. Manage accrual tracking, prepaid account monitoring, month-end close documentation, and purchase order workflows. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, finance, and internal stakeholders to track contractor resources, collect quotes, and organize compliance documentation. Manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail. Pass NERC CIP and Insider Threat Protection background checks. Join a Cybersecurity Business Operations team supporting Southern Company Services.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting budget management, financial planning and analysis, reporting, accounting, procurement, or related business processes.
  • Ability to work with financial data, prepare basic analysis, and support reporting tied to budgets, business priorities, and operational needs.
  • Must pass NERC CIP and Insider Threat Protection background checks.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar financial system experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and prepare presentation materials.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Experience supporting financial operations, budget administration, procurement coordination, or vendor management.
  • Experience with purchase orders, contractor billing, accruals, prepaid accounts, and month-end financial support.
  • Experience supporting projects, coordinating tasks, and managing deadlines across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience working with vendors, suppliers, finance teams, and cross-functional business partners.
