Job Summary
Manage financial remediation for audit deficiencies across Property, Plant, and Equipment, Inventory, and Acquire-to-Retire business areas. Establish auditable opening balances, maintain desk guides and SOPs, and perform quality control reviews of stakeholder documentation. Coordinate responses to Government audit requests, monitor open audit statuses, and reconcile trial-balance variances between APSR and Trial Balance. Conduct test of design and operating effectiveness for control activities, provide root cause analysis, and support monthly roll-forward and quarterly financial reporting. Assist in monitoring control areas surrounding inventory assets and facilitating process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related field) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in supporting the Navy / Marine Corps Operations, with financial management and accounting
- At least twenty-four credit hours of accounting-related courses
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain the required security clearance for the position
- Sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling
- Lifting to 40 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting MCSC
- MBA with accounting focus
- Proficiency with the following government systems: Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps (GCSS-MC), Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), Defense Acquisition Initiative (DAI), Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS)
