Job Summary
Financial Analyst role in the Monterey Peninsula area requiring analysis of earned revenue, operating expenses and capital project activity; extract and analyze financial data for management and departments; support external audits, prepare and review quarterly financial statements and supporting documentation; record and reconcile bond and debt transactions; maintain lease accounting entries; develop complex financial analyses and narratives for management; assist in annual budget process; ensure timely informational filings (including the 990); prepare high-level financial dashboards and board materials; support internal controls and develop financial models for new programs and capital projects; assist with cost allocation and cost recovery reporting; provide financial backups for capital projects including forecasting and tracking; monitor cash flow and reserves; requires BA in Accounting/Finance, GAAP/GASB knowledge for nonprofit, advanced accounting systems and Excel/pivot capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- BA degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB for non-profit organizations
- Advanced skills with accounting enterprise systems, reporting, complex spreadsheets, databases, query tools, pivot tables
