Financial Analyst, FP&A

Job Summary
Perform financial and operational analysis within assigned business areas, participating in decisions through operating and trend analysis, value-added assessments, and risk/opportunity analysis. Assist in preparing financial analysis and reporting, including monthly variance analysis, profitability, and cost analysis for the assigned business area. Evaluate operations to support management decision-making, consult associates and management on financial reports to solve business issues, and provide ad hoc analysis for special projects and strategic initiatives. Prepare the quarterly board package and maintain knowledge of GAAP and SOX regulations to ensure compliance. Make recommendations on current processes to ensure program and process alignment with accounting standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Required) Accounting, Finance or related field
- Two years accounting and/or financial analysis experience
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cross functionally and with all levels in the organization
- Strong analytical and effective decision-making skills
- Organizational and planning skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong initiative
- Ability to prioritize multiple priorities
- Excellent financial/spreadsheet skills
- Systems knowledge or the ability to adapt quickly to different systems
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- May be required to lift and/or move 20 pounds
- Travel requirements vary by assignment
