Financial Analyst

Job Summary
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and special projects while developing and monitoring key performance indicators. Compile, analyze, and interpret financial data using reporting tools to provide planning, analysis, and recommendations to senior management. Assist with the monthly close process, including variance analysis and preparation of reporting packages, while reviewing accounts to ensure data accuracy. Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, and continuously enhance reporting processes through automation. Partner with business unit leaders to establish performance metrics and communicate insights on business trends to drive operational performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting, FP&A, or a related financial role
- Ability to commute to the office in Alexandria VA
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong business math and quantitative skills
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred
- Experience with financial consolidation tools (e.g., Planful) preferred
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools preferred
