Job Summary
Manage annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes while assisting in monthly financial statement preparation and variance explanations. Perform ad hoc financial analysis for management decision-making, complete assigned tax filings, and support month-end and year-end close procedures including reconciliations. Conduct financial analysis and grant support to drive informed decision-making, review accounts payable batches, and prepare documents for the Finance and Audit Committee. Complete the annual financial audit with no adverse findings and work cross-functionally to analyze financial data. Support the maintenance of financial reporting systems and resources. This role requires a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remote, with an annual salary range of $65,000 to $80,000.
Required Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar financial analyst role
- Bachelor's degree in a finance-related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in planning, analysis, audit, compliance, and budgeting
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite particularly Excel
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating in a team environment
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in proposing new ways to streamline processes and create efficiencies
- Flexible and a self-starter; able to multitask while also being highly detail-oriented
- Ability to submit an acceptable Criminal Record Search
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in cross-border finance (USA and Canada) and not not-for-profit finance is an asset
- Bilingual – English and French considered a strong asset
