Job Summary
Accumulate, analyze, and report cost information for an assigned operating area to support management decision-making and resource efficiency. Perform month-end close functions related to production costing, including journal entries and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual results. Participate in financial forecasting for manufacturing costs and develop an understanding of manufacturing processes to analyze key drivers regarding price, inventory, and usage. Engage with internal and external auditors as needed and leverage tools to drive process improvements. Provide timely and accurate information to department management. This role is located in Indiana Harbor, IN, and requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning skills
- Excellent communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships with internal and external contacts
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel to retrieve, filter, and analyze data from multiple servers, tables, and manufacturing systems
- Currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Must be a local candidate (East Chicago, IN)
- Relocation assistance is not available
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
