Financial Analyst

Job Summary

Coordinate the annual budget process from kickoff to post-approval, build the Broadway Series and Third-Party Rental budgets, and oversee departmental budget development. Develop three-year forecasts, monthly financial reports, and long-term forecasts for existing or potential business activities. Track Key Performance Indicators, administer capitalization policies, record fixed assets, and monitor capital spending variances. Prepare budget materials for the Board, deliver presentations to department heads and staff, and support the monthly and annual close processes. Serve as the primary finance contact for assigned departments, reviewing revenues and expenditures while adhering to strict deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in finance and/or accounting
  • This requirement may be met by a combination of education and experience for at least seven (7) years total, provided the candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial principles and practices, particularly in budgeting, forecasting, and capital asset management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of vlookup, pivot tables, and data manipulation with multiple file formats
  • Demonstrated expertise in analysis and problem-solving
  • Demonstrated success in prioritizing tasks, managing workload efficiently, and meeting deadlines to achieve organizational goals
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated success in working independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Access to consistent method of transport to/from the Music Hall at Fair Park and other designated work locations (venues, off-site event/meeting sites, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Fair Park and its surrounding neighborhoods is strongly preferred
  • Advanced degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field
  • Proficient in Oracle NetSuite
  • Proficient in NetSuite Planning and Budgeting
  • Demonstrated experience with both nonprofit 501(c)(3) accounting as well as traditional business accounting
  • Demonstrated appreciation of musical theatre or the performing arts in general
