Job Summary
Financial Analyst role responsible for ownership of the monthly management accounts, delivering variance analysis and performance commentary across designated business units; producing monthly reporting packs; managing CAPEX reporting and forecasting; partnering with Finance Business Partners and operations to develop budgets, forecasts and five-year plans; consolidating divisional budgets and long-range plans for submission to Central Finance; preparing balance sheet reconciliations; supporting the year-end audit; delivering financial insight for informed commercial decision-making; managing monthly customer invoicing; providing support across the Divisional Finance Team; contributing to ad hoc financial analysis and projects; requires graduate or part-qualified accounting qualifications and advanced Excel skills.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT)
- Previous experience in management accounting, including period-end processes, purchase orders and sales invoicing
- Advanced Excel skills with strong overall IT literacy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across finance, operational and commercial teams
- Proactive, adaptable and willing to learn new skills
- Able to work independently, problem solve effectively and remain calm under pressure
- Experience within service, logistics or waste industries would be advantageous
