Financial Analyst

Job Summary
Analyze financial positions focusing on AR, AP, Payroll, and key areas; reconcile, review, and distribute monthly departmental cost reports. Perform revenue reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and identify discrepancies. Execute general ledger activities, including processing journal entries, reconciliations, reclassifications, and accruals, while completing daily bank reconciliations and related reporting. Assist in month-end preparation and maintain accurate documentation trails for all financial and bookkeeping activities. Support audits and independent reviews, formulate annual operating and capital budgets, and prepare quarterly forecasts for senior management. Adhere to reporting timelines and coordinate with the Accounting Supervisor for accuracy checks. Requires 4+ years of finance experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and 1–2 years in the oil and gas or construction environment.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in Finance roles
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; or minimum 2 year diploma in Administration, Accounting, or similar
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a oil and gas or construction environment
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and with confidence
- Self directed, able to set priorities and meet deadlines
- High degree of competence, reliability and judgement demonstrated in all aspects of work
Desired Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced skills with G-Suite an asset
