Job Summary
Financial Analyst/ Principal Financial Analyst to support the Division Rates Manager in the Weapons Systems Division. Collaborate with Sector, Division, and Business Unit management; onsite options in McLean, VA or Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (WV), Elkton (MD), or Plymouth (MN). Responsibilities include rate segment budget coordination and cost monitoring, analyzing year-to-date rate variances, communicating budget performance and risks/opportunities, building tools and processes for the Weapon Systems Division, creating financial bridging data between Cognos planning and budgeting tools, supporting affordability and scenario analysis, contributing to FPRP development, defending FPRP estimates during DCAA/DCMA audits, ensuring CAS and FAR compliance, and communicating relevant disclosure statement changes during planning cycles. Requirements emphasize strong Excel skills, experience with SAP/Costpoint and Cognos, and the ability to convey information to various audiences. Onsite work is required; discussion of salary ranges and benefits is included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 7 years of related experience for Financial Analyst Level 2; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field with 3 years of experience; Master’s degree with 0 years for Level 2.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field with 5 years of related experience; Master’s degree with 3 years for Level 3.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field with 0-3 years for Level 2/3 depending on level.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with SAP/S4 or Costpoint
- IBM Cognos Analytics/Reporting
- Understanding of government rates lifecycles and dependencies
- Ability to convey information clearly to peers, senior management, and leadership
- Ability to prepare financial data and perform analysis
- Knowledge of CAS and FAR
- Experience defending FPRP estimates
- Ability to work onsite
