Financial Aid State and Government Aid Specialist

Oversee day-to-day operations of all state scholarship and grant programs, including eligibility verification, award disbursement, and program reconciliation. Administer state programs such as the Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant, Tennessee Student Assistance Award, and TN Promise Scholarship while determining student eligibility based on cost of attendance. Manage institutional and external scholarship funds, perform accurate and timely reconciliation, and respond to inquiries from students, parents, and staff regarding policies and account status. Verify documentation, generate reports using financial aid systems, and provide training on state financial aid programs. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve processing issues and participate in outreach activities at college fairs. Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and institutional policies to ensure compliance. This full-time on-site role at the South College Lonas Campus in Knoxville, TN, supports a mission to serve 20,000 students across 10 campuses through competency-based education.
