Job Summary
Serve as the initial point of contact for the Office of Financial Aid, providing counseling on financial literacy, entrance and exit counseling, and debt management. Process student loan applications, enter scholarship awards, and manage Federal Work-study participants while maintaining accurate electronic and hard copy student files. Act as a liaison with the business office to apply financial aid awards to student accounts and compile data for reports including FISAP and monthly reconciliations. Field phone and email inquiries, take appointments, and handle audits while ensuring compliance with federal regulations. Work 40 weekly hours in a general office environment, occasionally traveling to off-site locations.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in higher education financial aid
- Knowledge of financial aid operations and federal regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Technology skills
- Working knowledge of higher education regulations
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate with others
- Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel
- Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
