Job Summary
The Financial Aid Officer advises prospective and current students on Title IV funds and resources, assists students in completing FAFSA and loan counseling, performs verification, resolves conflicting information in student files, conducts financial aid estimates, submits files for compliance review, coordinates with admissions to ensure proper documentation for packaging, uses CampusVue for case management, and provides updates to the Campus President. Responsible for guiding packaging processes, explaining Institutional Payment Plans (IPP), and supporting timely, compliant delivery of financial aid while maintaining accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (GED acceptable) from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- 1 year of experience in a customer service-related field
- Ability to multitask while maintaining organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must not be in default on any federal student loan
- Experience with CampusVue (preferred)
- Associate’s degree or higher (preferred)
- 1 year of prior experience in Financial Aid (preferred)
