Job Summary
Award and monitor financial aid for approximately one-third of the undergraduate and all graduate students in Athletic Training, Music, and the SPS Adult Program. Ensure all aid distribution complies with federal, state, and institutional guidelines while counseling students on eligibility. Administer the federal and private student loan program from processing to reconciliation, oversee the Federal Work Study Program, and manage outside scholarships and church match money. Process State Teacher Grants and tuition exchanges, prepare exits for graduates and withdrawals, and maintain accurate PELL processing with timely monthly and year-end reporting. Review quality control reports to ensure policy compliance and stay current on changing financial aid regulations. Provide direct customer service to families and students seeking advice.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Experience with student databases (Ellucian's Colleague experience required)
- An orientation to detail and precision
- Excellent customer service skills
- The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with students, administrators, families and outside constituencies
- The ability to coordinate many overlapping tasks
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2+ year's experience in financial aid required
- Personal commitment to North Park's mission of Christian higher education
