Job Summary
Provides personalized financial aid counseling to students and families on aid eligibility, application procedures, and aid programs. Supports student recruitment and retention by delivering presentations, participating in outreach events, and collaborating with stakeholders. Processes financial aid files with accuracy, addresses eligibility, application procedures, aid programs, costs, debt management, and financial planning, and applies professional judgment for unusual circumstances to adjust costs or dependency status. Requires knowledge of Title IV programs, FERPA, and compliance with federal/state regulations; communicates via in-person, phone, and email interactions to help students access funds timely and effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
